Hoi An, the historic city, is recognized as an exceptionally well-preserved example of a South-East Asian trading port dating from the 15th to the 19th century. The architectural designs and streets of Hoi An reflect influences of both foreign and indidenous cultures. This unique blend is the reason why UNESCO has also declared Hoi An as a World Heritage Site.

The city of Hoi An completely justifies its meaning, 'Peaceful Meeting Place'.Yellow walls, old wooden houses of Chinese merchants, colorful lanterns, small shops, proximity to a lovely beach and a quiet countryside is what describes this peaceful town. It was love at first sight. We spent a couple of days in Hoi An, but we regret why we didn't spend more time. 

It has no adventure activities, but if you want to relax and enjoy the charms of a gorgeous town and spend some peaceful time with your friends & loved ones, Hoi An is where you should go, if you are in Vietnam.Words are becoming incompetent to describe this charming city. Let us start with the beautiful old town, Hoi An.
 







This beauteous little bridge is emblematic of Hoi An. A bridge was first constructed here in the 1590s by the Japanese community to link them with the Chinese quarters.
